Obituary of James Joseph McConologue

James Joseph McConologue, fondly known as Jim to those close to him, passed away on August 21st, 2014. Born in County Donegal, Ireland and one of six children, he was born to Patrick and Mary (Logue) McConologue on August 23rd, 1934. Trained as a master carpenter, he came to the United States as a young man, and eventually started JMC Home Improvements, his own construction company, based in Westchester (NY) and Fairfield (CT) counties. Jim was an avid Yankee and Giants fan, loved to dance, enjoyed listening to the Irish folk music of his childhood, and adored spending time with his family. He is survived by his beloved wife Ellen (Flanigan), five children; Maureen (James), Mary Elizabeth (Vin), Francis (Linette), Michael, and Kevin, his ten grandchildren, siblings Margaret Degen, Patricia McLaughlin, Patrick McConologue, and Veronica Doherty, as well as multiple nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, his brother Fr. Dennis McConologue, and son John Anthony (Jay). A memorial mass is to be held at 10 a.m. on September 12th, 2014 at Saints John and Paul Church 280 Weaver St Larchmont, NY. A private reception is to follow. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all of those he held dear in his lifetime. Arrangements under the care of Nutmeg State Cremation Society, Stamford.
