Alan was the drummer in my trio off and on for 15 years. He played with a strong and steady beat and, to this day, when I miss a beat, I will be thinking of him! He was also a great harmonizer & vocalist, which is unusual for a drummer. Alan always had a twinkle in his eye and a story to tell. My best way to honor Alan is to keep playing music until we meet again in that "great gig" in the sky. I miss you, my friend.
