Obituary of Richard Peter Nanos

It is with great sorrow that I announce the passing of my beloved brother Richard P. Nanos on May 3, 2022 at age 74. Dick, seen here with his niece and my daughter Julie in 1973, struggled with health issues all his life and finally succumbed to complications of Lewy Body Dementia at The Villa, a nursing home facility In Stamford, CT. Dick was a 1965 graduate of Stamford High School and attended The University of Connecticut for 2 years. For many years he worked as an executive recruiter from home and successfully managed his own stock portfolio. He was an ardent N.Y. Yankee fan, loved playing Scrabble and adored Maine Coon cats. He is survived by his devoted wife Kathy Nanos and his 3 sisters, Rina Ranahan of San Bruno, CA, Barbara Mitchell of Stamford, CT and Penni Jakus of Liverpool, N. Y. A fourth sister Anita Nanos died on May 8, 2008 of brain cancer.
