Obituary of Robert Anthony Galasso

Robert “Bob” Galasso passed away at home surrounded by his family on April 26, 2020 after battling lung cancer. Bob was a resident of Wilton, CT for the past 30 years; born in Stamford to the late Anthony and Jennie Galasso on June 8, 1950. After obtaining both his bachelor and master degrees from the University of Connecticut, Bob worked in the wine industry for forty years. He served as national sales manager for Champagne Veuve Clicquot, Winebow Inc. and Vignioli Wines before starting his own company, Euro Wines Direct. Bob’s expertise was in European wines and he favored traveling throughout Italy visiting many vineyards. Bob loved sports and enjoyed playing golf, spending time with his daughter watching college basketball, the New York Yankees, and especially cheering for his son’s soccer teams. He is survived by his loving wife, Geri, son Ian and Ian’s wife Jenn, his daughter, Samantha, and step-son, Adam. Services are being handled by Thomas Gallagher Funeral Home in Stamford.
