Obituary of Lillian R. Masi

Lillian Ruth Masi, 88 years old passed away peaceably on June 5, 2014. Lillian was born in Nanty Glo, Pennsylvania, To Otto and Martha (Spangler) Fedora on April 1, 1926. She spent a few of her early years in Pennsylvania before moving to Cos Cob with her family, Mom, Dad and two sisters. Lillian attended Greenwich schools, and while in Greenwich High, she met Joe Masi. Lillian and Joe married in July of 1950, after Joe returned home from serving in the U.S. Army. After their marriage Lillian began the life long task of raising three boys, Joseph, Douglas and Charles. With the passing of her husband Joe in April 1982, Lillian took on the task on caring for her elder father Otto, who enjoyed life to the age of 97. Lillian enjoyed arts and crafts, along with needlepoint. She opened a small store, " Craft Corner" in Byram for a short period of time in 1975. Lillian is survived by her sons Joseph E. Masi Jr, Dr. Douglas Masi, Charles A. and wife Mary-Lynn Masi, granddaughter Lauren McDougall-Masi and sister Pauline and husband Merlin Neff of Denver Colorado. The family will hold private services at a later date.
