Obituary of Kathleen Jo Faryniarz

Faryniarz, Kathleen Jo (Lasko), 73, died September 27th, 2021 in Bridgeport CT. Kathleen, known as “Kathy Jo”, was born at St. Joseph's Hospital to the late Joseph J. Lasko and Catherine F. Berger on October 19th, 1947. She lived her life in Stamford, Ansonia, Oxford, Bridgeport, CT and El Paso, TX. Kathy Jo is survived by Frank Levey, her partner of 30 years, and her 3 daughters: Catherine E. Katrenya (Kevin), Cherilyn E. Ramos (Tali), Corinne M. Faryniarz, their father Joseph R. Faryniarz, and the entire Levey family. She is predeceased by her daughter Christina L. Faryniarz. Kathy Jo is also survived by her grandchildren: Samantha, Cassandra, and Mackenzie Katrenya, Ryan M. Krelle and Alexie K. Galarza (Freddy) and their son Nicholas, and Nathaniel Ramos. In addition, Kathy Jo is survived by her 7 siblings: Joseph Lasko (Judy), Patricia Jo Haywood (Edward), Robert Lasko (Vivian), William Lasko (Wanda), John Lasko (Susan), James Lasko (Felicita) and Michael Lasko (Mary). Kathy Jo is also survived by her nieces and nephews; Joseph J. Lasko III and Laurie Parker (Billy), Allen Haywood (Missy), April Vitaliani (Marc), Kenneth Janz (Lauretta), Robert Lasko, Jr. (Kristen), Matthew and Andrew Lasko, Katelyn and Stephen Lasko, and Lavinia Vega. She is predeceased by her niece Kimberly Haywood. Kathy Jo attended St. Cecilia Elementary School in Stamford, CT. She graduated from Stamford Catholic High School in 1965. Kathy Jo trained at the J.M. Wright Tech Nursing School, then interned and graduated from Stamford Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1969. She attended Southern Connecticut State University in 1977. Kathy Jo had and shared the Love of God with everyone she met. Please leave your fondest memories of her on the web site. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, October 7th, 2021, at St. James Church in Stratford, CT. Kathy Jo will be buried with her daughter Christina Faryniarz. The Interments will follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Darien, CT.
