Obituary of Nicholas J. Fecci
Nicholas J. Fecci- 64 of Stratford, CT passed away unexpectedly on Saturday October 13th, 2018 Born August 24th, 1954 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Stamford, CT to Barbara Melatti and Renato Fecci.
Nick attended Stamford Public schools (Rippowan HS). He was a resident of Stamford until he moved his family to Stratford, CT 18 years ago. Survived by beloved wife Dianne Mitrovich Fecci and daughter Barbara Rita Fecci both of Stratford,. Brother Antony Fecci, sister-n-law Sandra Hartlett and nephews Christopher, Michael. Daniel Fecci all from Stamford,. Sister Melissa Sabovik, husband Richard and nieces Nicole and Imani Sabovik all from Ridgefield, CT. Aunt Connie Melatti from Stamford,. Brother and sister-n-law Christopher and June Mitrovich and nephews Christopher and Mathew and their families from Staten Island, NY.
Nick was predeceased by his parents Barbara Fecci and Renato (Ray) Fecci, brother Christopher Fecci, maternal grandparents Florence Wadhams Melatti and Frank Melatti all from Stamford and paternal grandparents Giuseppe and Margarita Fecci from Ivrea, Italy.
Nick was the owner of Aqua Dry Systems and A-1 Quality Home Inspections and had worked with his father at RF Builders. Nick was a big animal lover and worked at the Stamford Humane Society in the 70’s. Nick has had a big presence in the local music industry going back to the 70’s and 80’s, as a Stamford local legend, with bands “Ambush” in the 70’s, “Rough and Reddy” and “Rough Cut” in the 80’s and more recent years was in bands “Solar Angels”, “Uncle Nicky” and “Go Fetch”. He has shared his amazing voice for many. Nick will be remembered by many for his charitable acts of kindness to people from all walks of life. He had a huge heart and it touched so many. He will be sorely missed. A Memorial Celebration Service is planned for Saturday November 3rd at 2pm at Harvest Time Church, 1338 King Street, Greenwich, CT.-Please come celebrate Nick’s life with us!
