Obituary of Ernest Emery Nemeth

Ernest Emery Nemeth passed away peacefully on September 14, 2018 at the age of 81 at Stamford Hospital. He fought his Cancer battle for the past 14 years with the help of God and St. Peregrine, as well as the help of his family, friends, doctors and nurses, strength and determination. He was a graduate of William Cullen Bryant High School in Astoria New York and was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Louise Nemeth. He worked as a Carpenter/Foreman in the union in New York City until he relocated to Stamford CT in 1978 with his wife and two daughters. He adored his boat named Sweet Louise and spent sunny Sundays on the Long Island sound or in his back yard working on his pond, or gardening and grilling. He loved summer parties, company and entertaining and spoiled everyone that entered his home. He also enjoyed trips with his daughters to the Keyes, Emerald Isle Aruba and St.Thomas. One of his favorite things was being in the kitchen with his younger daughter Dana as a sous chef aka (Pappasmurf). He loved Sundays and being home, baking and cooking up a delicious meal while watching football, especially The Patriots and Tom Brady. He was a huge Pat fan. He had a passion for life, and his family. He also loved renovations, painting, decorating and was so very talented. He made it easy for everyone to love him with with his handsome blue eyed smile and cynical sense of humor. He is predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Carol Nemeth, and is survived by his two dedicated daughters Dawn (Sean) and Dana Nemeth as well as his honorary grandkids, Anam Cara, Isabella and Sean Paul and his new great honorary grandson David Bruce. A service will be held at St. Bridget's of Ireland 278 Strawberry Hill Avenue, Stamford CT 06902 on Saturday September 22, 2018 at 11 a.m. with a celebration of his life at his home immediately following.
