Obituary of Virginia A. Tesoro
Virginia Ann Tesoro passed away peacefully on June 16 2018 after a short illness. She will be forever remembered as a beloved aunt by her nieces and nephews: Christopher, Caroline, Robert, Steven, and Jackie. She was their ‘Auntie’ and since she did not have children of her own, they became hers and she spent a wealth of time with each and every one of them. Virginia was a devoted sister to her siblings Victoria and Robert, a steadfast and loving partner to her wife Susan, and a devoted daughter in law to Irene. All of whom survive her. She was predeceased by her adoring parents Virginia and Robert and her father in law George all of whom she loved very much.
Virginia was an avid athlete excelling in virtually every sport she played. She swam competitively, played softball in leagues all over the country, and would have been in the Olympics if she were born after female athletes received the recognition they deserved. A lifelong Yankees fan and dog lover, Virginia was never more at home than when she was with her many loyal friends. She will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in memory of Virginia Tesoro be made to the Whittingham Cancer Center, care of Norwalk Hospital Foundation, 34 Maple Street, Norwalk, CT 06856.
