Obituary of Fred Kida
Fred Kida died on Wednesday, April 3, 2014. Fred was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 12, 1920. He attended The American School of Design after graduating high school. On October 5, 1946, he married Elly Ahnert and they had two children, Paul and Peter. He worked his whole life as an artist starting at Hillman Comics, where he inked "Airboy". He later worked for Marvel Comics with Stan Lee until the early 1980"s. Fred enjoyed oil painting immensely and would create beautiful works of landscape art and portraits in his spare time. Although he loved art, Fred was a spiritual man and diligently studied the Bible. He was an elder in the Port Chester Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and shared his Bible knowledge freely with others. He is survived by his wife, Elly, sons, Paul and Peter, two grandchildren, Takashi and Lani, and two great-grandchildren, Connor and Alexis. A Service will be held 11 am on Wednesday, April 9th at Scarsdale Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 575 Stratton Road New Rochelle, NY.
