Dear Labine Family,
Nora, John and I were all very saddened to hear of Matt's passing. He was truly one of the good guys--encouraging, quick to laugh, generous and kind--qualities rarely found in competitive sports--or anywhere else.
Nora loved pulling hard for him, although sadly her career was stymied by a collarbone fracture. But she will always think of him with love and respect.
