Obituary of Lynn C Peel

~~Lynn Carol Peel of Norwalk, CT passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on September 5, 1950, in Ashland, PA, to Genevieve Galinis and John Clarence Peel, she was later adopted and raised by Dorothy (Metzinger) and John C. Peel. Lynn had 31 years of long-term recovery and inspired hundreds of others to work hard for their own recovery. She ceaselessly helped those struggling with alcohol and drug abuse, as well as their families. Lynn was an active volunteer and a mentor providing friendship and support to many in recovery.  She touched many lives through her service and dedication.

Lynn served as a Norwalk Marching Band quartermaster for seven years and loved being “mother” to all the band and color guard students.
