Obituary of Esther F Goldstein

Esther (Chic) Goldstein Chic Goldstein, age 84, wife of Marvin Goldstein, passed away on January 23 at the Waveny Care Center in New Canaan. Chic was born June 16, 1932 to the late Ben and Bela Frommer. Survivors include her spouse Marvin, daughters Beth and Lee, sons-in-law Kurt and Charlie, granddaughters Abbe, Nora, and Lucy, and great-granddaughter, Maya. Chic’s passion was teaching in New York City, Cleveland, and Norwalk for over 40 years. She was a bold and unrelenting advocate for the rights of children and animals as well as an unapologetic political activist. This spirited, independent, idealistic woman saw the good in every person, animal, and situation, enlightening us all. The family will hold a Day of Celebration to remember Chic’s life on Saturday, February 11 at 2:00pm at home, 31 Greenlea Lane, Weston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society and to NARAL.
