Obituary of Ralph A. Valenzano

Ralph Angelo Valenzano, 97, died peacefully of natural causes at the Regency Heights Nursing Home in Stamford on June 6, 2015. Ralph was born June 16, 1917 in Stamford and was a lifelong resident. He is predeceased by his father Michael Valenzano, mother Angelina Lasalandra Valenzano and his stepmother Nancy Lasalandra Valenzano as well as his three brothers, Frank, Michael and Vito and two sisters, Theresa and Rose Valenzano Meno. He is survived by one sister-in-law, Ruth Valenzano, five nephews and one niece, 8 grandnephews and 5 grandnieces and one great grandnephew and one great grandniece. He graduated from Stamford High School in the class of 1934 and served honorably in the US Army from 1942–1946. Ralph was employed by the Stamford Advocate for over 25 years as a printer and was a former member of the Elks B.P.O.E. Club of Stamford. Ralph's humor and generosity will be greatly missed by all those who loved him. There are no calling hours. The burial will take place at Fairfield Memorial Cemetery on Saturday, June 13, at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements under the care of Nutmeg State Cremation Society, Stamford.
