Nutmeg State Cremation Society believes that a funeral service helps families and close friends of the deceased recover from their loss. Many families that have lost a loved one want to plan a special funeral service that is not just unique, but memorable as well.

When you work with us, our knowledgeable funeral director and their team will take the time to understand exactly what type of service you want to organize. If you are working within a limited budget, yet want to personalize the service, please read on.

Some Tips to Personalize A Funeral Service

These are simple yet effective ways to create a more customized and unique funeral service on a budget:

  • Select some music or song that your loved one particularly liked. You can play multiple songs or pieces of music but make sure there are no offensive lyrics etc. It’s a great way to remember your loved one and the melodies they liked.

  • Place personal items like musical instruments, collectibles, artwork, or photos that belonged to the deceased. It’s a good way to reminisce about the person.

  • If the person liked watching movies, display posters of ones they particularly enjoyed watching. This is a unique method to personalize the event.

  • You and your family members can read out verses, stories, or poems during the service. If your loved one liked reading books, you can also read some potions out of those books as well.

The idea of doing these various things is to create a more personalized touch at the funeral. It's far better than going ahead with a standard service that doesn’t have a unique feel.

At Nutmeg State Cremation Society, we provide comprehensive funeral services and can help you with all aspects of the pre-planning process. Our team is knowledgeable and helpful so you can get all the information that you need, from them.
