Top Tips on Staying Safe in Public During the Pandemic

We live in a very challenging time, and everywhere we go, there is talk about the pandemic. The only way to beat it is to practice self-isolation as much as possible; it reduces the chances of your exposure to the virus. However, you cannot stay cooped up in your house forever and would have to step out at some time or the other. Even if you have to do so, you must follow certain things to keep yourself safe:

  • You must wear a mask at all times while stepping out of your home.  You can purchase a mask from any store or make one yourself. It is essential to understand that a mask will not offer you complete protection from the COVID-19 virus. However, keeping your face, nose, and mouth protected is essential when you are in public spaces.

  • Stay away from all crowded areas as much as possible.

  • Be a little organized when you go shopping and create a list of the things you want to purchase. It will help to ensure that you spend less time at stores and other places.

  • Stay away from crowded elevators as much as possible.

  • Always maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from other people when you are outside.

  • Do not touch too many surfaces when you walk into a store or any shop.

  • Always carry a sanitizer with you and use it intermittently when you are outside.

  • Wash your hands thoroughly before stepping into your house after you are done with running errands or shopping.

  • Wash your hands even before you step out of your home without fail.

  • Do not move around excessively in public areas unless you need to.

  • Even when you are in a public area, try to avoid touching various surfaces.

  • It's best to use a good hand wash rather than a sanitizer when you are in your home.
